When the gift of submission is so lightly and easily chucked at your head? It doesn’t carry as much weight as the people offering seem to think it does.
Recently, I had a conversation (on another platform, not here, so I’m not going to fall afoul of any FL spotting rules) with someone that I wanted to share with you all…

Total stranger, never spoken to them before, sent me a message: “I want to be your slave! Please! I will do anything! Do you take live in slaves?”
Normally, I ignore messages like this because I get a ton of them but that day I decided to unpack it.
Me: Have you ever been a live in slave to a Mistress before?
Them: No! And I want to so badly! It’s what I was meant to do! Any Mistress I have ever asked won’t do it and I don’t know why 😓 Maybe you will be the first? 🫣

So right off the bat I have established that the Mistress doesn’t matter, they are interchangeable factors in the equation. What matters is the EXPERIENCE, and anyone who is willing to provide it will do. The “gift” of their “24/7 TPE” is given to anyone willing to interact with them.

Me: And what would you do if you moved in with me and were my live in slave?
Them: Anything!! Anything you want! I would serve you however you want!!
Me: Are you going to be eating food?
Them: only if Mistress permits me.
Me: Let’s be practical here. If you don’t eat, you would starve to death. Obviously you’re going to be eating. Where is that food going to come from?
Them: I would go to the store and buy it for you! And then I would cook it for you! would cook you whatever you wanted!

So now we have established that having a live-in slave means my grocery bills are going to double. I don’t know if you’ve noticed lately, but food is expensive, yo.
And not one of these “slaves” has ever proposed holding down a job while serving me. Maybe slaves that are willing to work outside the house do exist, but not any applicant who have ever applied to be my living slave. In the arrangement all of them have proposed? They are living in my house and “serving” me.

Me: Okay you’re doing all the grocery shopping and cooking. Who is purchasing you new clothes when your clothes wear out?

Them: I would be naked Mistress! Naked and collared! I don’t need any clothing! Slaves don’t wear clothing!

Slaves are also human and made of flesh. Unless you keep the house warm enough that the slave doesn’t catch pneumonia or endless colds and is too sick to work (I went to the hospital once for pneumonia. That was a very expensive hospital bill) then I have to keep the house warm enough so that the slave doesn’t get sick being constantly naked.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but electricity is expensive, yo. So now I have to pay doubled food bills and significantly increased electricity costs.

Me: Do you have health insurance? Dental insurance? If you move in with me are you going to continue to pay for those? What do you do when you have a cavity and need to go to the dentist? What are you going to do when you get sick?

Them: ummm

Me: In order to try and avoid going to the dentist, you’re going to need to brush your teeth regularly. Who’s paying for toothbrushes? Toothpaste? Dental floss? Soap? Toilet paper? Razors? Those are all things that you are going to need and the cost of those stack up.

Them: I just want to serve you!! What does toothpaste have to do with anything??

So the “offer” like everyone else who has offered the exact same thing to me previously?

Is for the slave to move into my house and I will end up covering doubled food bills, increased electrical bills, increased water usage, increased usage of toilet paper, toothpaste, soap, razors, etc etc.

And they will offer me their utterly dedicated servitude.

In this proposal, they seem to think, if they’ve bothered going that far down the thought process, that a Mistress would be wealthy enough to pick up all of those associated costs with having another human being living under your roof.

And if a Mistress is wealthy enough that she can afford to keep living human slaves around? She’s going to have her pick of slaves. A random person she’s never talked to before offering her their submission via an internet DM is going to have an incredibly low success rate.

Just saying.

I know why these slaves can never find a Mistress that they can move in with and serve utterly, with every fiber of their dedicated slave flesh…

Because the core of what they are really asking for, if they were willing to be honest with themselves, is that they want to move in with someone and renounce all responsibility.

They don’t want to have to worry about rent or food or electricity or health care bills. Adulting is a lot of work. It’s endless. It’s very tiring. You have to do it every single day for the rest of your life. It’s terribly boring and redundant.

The fantasy of moving in with a Mistress and having all of those things handled so all you have to do is be a humble slave all day?

Yeah, it’s a great fantasy. No wonder people with that fantasy spend years online endlessly hitting up Mistresses and lobbing the “gift” of their submission at anyone within eyeshot. But I can see why no one ever takes them up on their offer.

I just wish they could see that.

Self-reflection and looking in the mirror is hard and often uncomfortable. People try to avoid doing it because they’re not going to like what they see. I have to look in the mirror everyday and it’s hard. Just like adulting is hard. I get it.

It’s ever so much easier to hope that the next stranger on the internet you hit up to be your Mistress is going to be the one that says “yes”.
